The reaction across the Hockey world continues to pour in. The more people see the video of the hit and see the picture of Chara’s hand pushing Pacioretty’s face into the turnbuckle, the more people become angered. This begs the question…Should the NHL admit they made a mistake and retroactively suspend Zedno Chara?
People in Montreal are pissed and I know they want justice as is show in the video below:
With a possible criminal investigation impending, the NHL is coming under pressure to do something. My thought are that the league doesn’t want to look like it’s “Flip Flopping” on it’s decisions as it may have to deal with this in the future. But the severity of the injury and the subsequent outrage should in this one situation, make the NHL retract it’s previous statement, apologize and suspend Zedno Chara.
I can hear the Boston Bruins trolls on the internet pissing and moaning but if it happened to Milan Lucic…you’d feel the same way. Swallow your pride and understand that justice should be served as to try and prevent this from happening in the future.
Do you think the NHL should admit their mistake?
Martin St. Louis with the NASTY shootout goal
Watch this absolutely NASTY goal from Martin St. Louis of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Wow.

Max Pacioretty speaks out on the hit (VIDEO)
Max Pacioretty of the Montreal Canadians has spoken out on the hit he received from Zedno Chara of the Boston Bruins on March 8th.
“It’s been an emotional day.” Said Pacioretty. It’s been an emotional passionate couple days on the internet. Chara didn’t receive a suspension and Montreal fans and bloggers are pissed. Check out Habs Inside/Out for more reaction.
I feel he should have gotten a couple of games. I know I’d want twenty games if it happened to a Blueshirt. So goes the passionate game of hockey.
What do you think about the lack of suspension?
Shea Weber diving goal!
Check out this diving goal from Shea Weber of the Nashville Predators! Awesome shot!
Max Pacioretty taken off on stretcher
Max Pacioretty of the Montreal Canadians was taken off the ice on the stretcher last night after Zdeno Chara of the Boston Bruins drove his head into the side of the glass that separates the benches.
This was very scary and looks absolutely brutal.
Good news is that he is conscious and moving his extremities. Our thoughts are with Max and the Pacioretty family.

I’m Back!
Yes Blueshirt Dirt fans! I’m back! And it feels good. Over the last months I’ve been relocating and now that I’m settled I’m ready to head the blog up! I’m very excited to be back with you. But things are going to change around here a bit. I’m going to stop doing game analysis for the Rangers. Yup. I’m hanging that up. I don’t like the feel of the posts and there are so many other awesome blogs out there that cover the games very well. If something of significance happens in a Blueshirts game…you will hear about it. As you can see in previous posts I have been talking more about the rest of the league and I’m going to continue to do that. That being said stay tuned with me for the remainder of the season and playoffs and we’ll all enjoy the game we love so much!
Thanks for sticking with me everyone!
How STUPID are you Rick Rypien?
If you haven’t seen this…then watch it.
Wow. You are stupid.
But what I’m finding fascinating is that “people around the internet” feel like he shouldn’t get more then a five game suspension.
Really?
I feel like laying your hands on a paying customer should be dealt with in a swift manor and the penalty should be VERY HARSH. Send a message to the players…
Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
