Florida Sweep: Rangers/Panthers Postgame

April 4, 2010

The Rangers put up four goals in the Third…winning the game…and tying the Flyers for 8th in the east.

The first two periods we’re forgettable with the Panthers notching a goal and being the more physical team.

…Then this happened…

Marc Staal went coast to coast scoring that sick nasty goal…it was his third goal in three games. Then Brandon Prust scored the second goal giving him a two game goal streak. Chris Drury put in a rebound for the third goal and Gabroik notched his 41st goal of the season capping the game.

If you missed any of the last 6 games…you’ve been missing quite a show. There are many people who feel the Rangers don’t deserve to be in the race for the playoffs because of how they played this season. To that I say…if they have enough points to get in…then they deserve to play in the playoffs. Easy.

There are others out there who poo-poo the chances of the Rangers because of the possibility of facing Washington in the first round. The mantra of the haters goes as such: “The Rangers we’re up 3-1 on Washington last year and couldn’t put it away!” To these people I say…put a sock in it! The roster is completely different from last year…who is to say they have no chance to win because of last year…ridiculous!!!

Either way…the Rangers are on a roll and will have to play a tough Buffalo on Tuesday before playing Toronto and the last two games of the season against the Flyers. The fate of the playoffs are in the Rangers hands. Show some support…don’t hate…bring the positive energy people!!!
