Quick thought about the playoffs…

The recent additions of Brandon Prust and Olli Jokinen have (in my mind) have put the Rangers in a place where they can get to the playoffs. The team was stagnant and needed a shake up. The thought of bringing in Christopher Higgins for Scott Gomez was a good idea. They we’re two struggling players who needed a change of scenery. The change of ice didn’t help Higgins. I feel the pressure of playing in front of a home crowd was too much pressure for the Long Island native.
Ales KotalEEEK was brought in to be a force on offensive side with his booming slapshot. Too bad he was a HUGE defensive liability and played like Wade Redden on a good day. Ouch. Have fun in Calgary guys.
Now that two of our dead weights have gotten “Das Boot” and we’ve gotten more fire into the lineup I feel like we have some kind of chance in the playoffs. We’ve played well against other playoff teams since the trade. We gave the Capitals a run for thier money and we shut down New Jersey.
So here’s a message to all the doubters out there (i.e. other Rangers bloggers). Give our boys a chance! Go Blueshirts!
