Stay out of the box Olli! The Rangers lost 6 to 5 last night in an enthralling game against the Washington Capitals. Although the Blueshirts lost the game there was a lot to be happy about.
Particularly the offense which has been stagnant lately. Olli Jokinen had two points last night (1 power play goal, 1 assist) showing as an extremely strong force during the game and especially on the power play which the Rangers have been slacking in. He really puts a presence on the ice the Higgins and Kotalik could never do. Vinny Prospal had a career night with 2 goals and 2 assists.
I also want to note the Brandon Prust played a good physical game last night. Every time I saw him on the ice he was hitting somebody. Good for you buddy!
Everyone was playing hard last night but couldn’t get it done against the best team in the league. If it we’re anyone else last night I’d be writing about how awesome of a win it was…but I’m not…so I’ll take peace in that we played well and our powerplay in on point.
The one player who out did us all night was Alex Ovechkin…who else. He had a SICK NASTY goal at the end of the second which was also his 500th career point. Good for you Alex…I guess. (Video Below)
